GISsurfer terms of service
Except for news media, GISsurfer is for non-commercial use only. If you embed a GISsurfer map in a news story please send me an email with a link to the story. I enjoy seeing where the maps I produce are being used. Also it is a 'best practice' to include a GISsurfer link titled something like 'Open map full screen' either above or below the embedded map. A minimum of 500px wide is recommended for embedded maps to prevent map controls from overwriting each other.
Use of GISsurfer by teachers and government employees is non-commercial and is encouraged. If you have a question about whether your proposed use is commercial then please send an email and ask.
By using GISsurfer you agree that you are doing so entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that there may be inaccuracies in the maps you see and data you obtain from GISsurfer and that there may be programming errors in any of the software that is part of GISsurfer. You agree that you will not bring any claim of any nature or file any lawsuit against anyone that is in any way connected to your usage of GISsurfer.
Everyone is welcome to post GISsurfer links on social media and in forums. However, please do not post GISsurfer links in forums or on websites where the user is required to pay a fee to access the forum or website. As the software developer that wrote GISsurfer it is my intent that it be free. If you place GISsurfer links on a 'fee' part of a forum or website, then you are acting contrary to my intent.
